As we enter the coldest months of the year, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude for the Lord’s faithful provision and tender care for our home and the families who find refuge here. After many seasons of praying and waiting, our maternity home is finally receiving long-awaited, much-needed repairs and updates that will make daily life safer, more comfortable, and more dignified for the moms and babies who live within these walls.
We could never keep this mission going without the Lord's provision through you, our sustaining supporters. As an added blessing this past year, with the help of a few donors, whom we thank God for as partners in this mission, we are now able to improve the home itself, in ways that reduce drafts and energy loss, create more workable and welcoming common areas, and enhance privacy and function in bedrooms with nursery spaces. Every change is being made with our residents’ well-being at the center: a warmer, more efficient home means lower utility costs and more resources available for direct services, while a better layout and additional storage free moms to focus on bonding with their babies and working toward stability rather than struggling with a building that no longer meets their needs.
In order to carry out this major undertaking with wisdom and care, we have made temporary adjustments that protect both safety and continuity of care for our clients. All remaining moms and babies have been safely re-housed off-site for this season, and we entrust them to the Lord’s protection even as we ensure their practical needs are met. Our offices will remain fully operational throughout the renovation at our home, but will soon be moved off-site, where we will continue to provide essential material goods, referrals, and crisis support to pregnant women in our local community.
Former residents will still be able to connect with staff for advocacy, referrals, moral support, clothing, gift cards, and other tangible needs, so that no one who has called this house “home” feels forgotten in this transition.
We will also continue gratefully receiving donations and support on behalf of our clients while the house is under construction. Presently, our offices remain in our home, but will be moving to a temporary location in the near future. Check this page for updates. For donation drop-offs during this time, please call 617-786-7903 in advance to coordinate with the staff. Thank you all for your continued love and support!
Join us in thanking God for all He has done—and all He is still doing—God is Good! All the time!
